It’s hard to imagine that some 8-10 (maybe 12) years ago, we started talking about what we needed in terms of a new facility here at Hewlett Volkswagen in Georgetown. With all the growth in central Texas, growth in our local market and growth in our very own staff, we knew a much larger facility was a must – but that was a long time ago…. Fast forward to now, the growth in all areas mentioned above is far more than we could have ever expected.
While it took a ton of planning, design modifications, brand approvals and frankly, future sales and service volume forecasting, we finally started building and finished last November.
It’s now been almost a full year and the move back into the new facility could not have gone better. The success of our own beloved Volkswagen franchise right her in little Georgetown, Texas has far surpassed anyone’s imagination.
I just returned from our national Volkswagen dealer meeting in Orlando, Florida (first meeting since COVID). These national dealer meetings are huge! This is where they lay out future business plans for the company (VW of America), marketing plans, growth expectations as well as showcase future products. Yes, they drive cars on stage with all the lights and booming sounds for excitement. It’s a big deal and a big production.
During the speeches from the VW executives, they put a giant map of the United States on the screen (took up the entire auditorium) highlighted Georgetown, Texas – and gave Hewlett Volkswagen a shoutout for going from ranked number 51 in the nation this time a year ago, to being currently ranked number 5 in the nation! Largest jump in rankings in the entire country.
While we couldn’t be prouder of our team, none of this is possible without you, our valued customer. It’s you that trusted us to be your car dealer.
