Georgetown Texas Car Club - Classic Auto Show

The 6th annual GTACC Car Show and Charity Benefit was held at Sun City on May 4, 2013 and was a resounding success. Everyone enjoyed a Friday night concert by Johnny Dee and the Rocket 88's. The Saturday show featured over 200 beautiful classic cars and trucks, 20 or more classes with quality awards for the top 3 in each class, special awards (farthest distance, club participation, etc), great food, music, raffles and an auction.

Dam That Cancer

Dam That Cancer is the premier fundraising event for The Flatwater Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides access to mental health services for those in need affected by cancer. Lake Austin provided the setting once again for the fourth annual Tyler's Dam That Cancer fundraiser. It was another great year for a 21-mile stand-up paddle and party on June 3, 2013.

This year’s event once again saw a group of determined individuals show their commitment in the global fight against cancer, with each paddler raising over $1,500 for The Flatwater Foundation. Their reward – together they travelled the entire length of Lake Austin, from Mansfield Dam to Tom Miller Dam – 21 miles – testing their physical limits as they took this journey on stand-up paddle boards for over nine hours under the hot Texas sun.
